I just can’t get you out of my head …
Ever had a tune stuck in your head until you’re almost driven crazy? I’m currently battling with Katy Perry’s ‘California Girls’ aand every time it looks like I’ve given it the slip, it turns up on the telly of radio to torment me again!
These tunes that lodge themselves in your mind and refuse to budge are known as ‘earworms’ and they can be almost impossible to banish from your subconscious. That is, until you acquaint yourself with the unhear it site.
It plays you a new song to try and banish the unwanted tune you have rattling around in your head. Don’t like the tune it offers up? Just click on the New Song button to get another one until it comes up with one that does the trick.
Of course, the risk you run is that the new tune becomes a new earworm, but if that happens, there are plenty more songs waiting for you on unhear it.
