Cook recipes from your favourite movies

One of the films I really enjoyed seeing at the movies not too long ago was Julie and Julia. It struck a couple of chords with me: I’m fairly new to blogging and I love to cook. So, needless to say, I really identified with the character of Julie. And the movie was set in one of my favourite places on earth — Paris — so, yet another box ticked!

After seeing the movie, all I wanted to do was race out and buy a copy of Julia Child’s cookbook and head straight into the kitchen — I don’t know that my arteries could have handled all that butter and cream, but I was willing to take the risk.

Have you ever got food inspiration from a movie? Well, if you fancy yourself as a bit of a movie buff and a foodie, all your planets will align on the Movie Recipes site.

The site shows you how to re-create memorable food moments from many of your all-time favourite movies. Each recipe has a synopsis of the movie, the ingredients and instructions for the dish, and a video showing you how to prepare it.

So, hire your favourite ‘food’ movie, prepare the signature dishes to eat while watching it,and get ready for a total entertainment experience. For a cool party idea, you could have friends round and have everyone bring a dish.
