Get an email from Santa
Here’s a cute idea to really get the kids into the Christmas spirit, especially now that they are so tech savvy from an early age.
There are plenty of services that let you organise to have a personalised Santa letter sent to your child by snail mail, but they required some planning because of the time it takes to arrive via that delivery method.
However, if you didn’t manage to get your ducks in a row in time to get that done, this method provides instant grastification.
If you go to the Saint Nick Web site, you can enter your child’s name and a few details, including some things from their Christmas wishlist, and they’ll receive an instant personalised email from the jolly man in red.
This non-commercial site aims to “rekindle the original spirit of community and giving for which the Internet once stood” by promoting the Christmas tradition and has been in operation for eight years.
And it seems to be catching on; the site received around 1 million hits a day in December last year.
