Keep track of the things you lend and borrow
How often have you gone looking for something and not been able to find it, only to half remember that you lent it to someone — the operative words here being “half remember” and “someone”?
Some of your best stuff goes missing this way. And why always your best stuff? Because your friends don’t want to borrow your rubbish, do they?
