Review: Kodak EasyShare P730 Digital Photo Frame
This new 7in digital photo frame from Kodak is one of the nicest I’ve seen — and believe me, I’ve seen a lot over the last several years. And it gets brownie points from me for its mostly recyclable packaging
It ‘has a really stylish understated look that will fit into any decor — a matte black bezel with a white mat — and it can be displayed in either a landscape or portrait orientation and free-standing on a table top or mounted on the wall.
And if you’re giving one as a gift — remember, Fathers’ Day is coming up — your recipient doesn’t need to have a computer to get it up and running, or any technical skills at all for that matter, as it’s a simple plug-and-play operation and all controls are simple and intuitive.
Because it supports USB thumb drives and all the common media card formats, you can include a memory stick or card loaded with family photos to personalise the gift. However, you will need to make sure that all the photos are in the one orientation, or they’ll get a cricked neck moving from one orientation to the other and it cycles through the images.
There are four display modes:
as a regular slideshow
as a rotating collage
as a slideshow with a calendar
and as a slideshow with a clockface.
The picture quality was excellent in my testing and this one will definitely be on my shopping list.
Kodak EasyShare P730 has a recommended retail price of $149 is available from selected retailers.
