Review: Microsoft Arc Mouse
Several notebook mice have hit the market recently boasting innovative design, but none of them can match the Microsoft Arc mouse for style — it has it in spades. But the good news is it’s not just a pretty face.
In addition to making a statement style-wise, the ‘arch’ profile sits nicely under the average hand and is incredibly comfortable to use, even for prolonged periods.
The Arc mouse is also very versatile – it’s just as comfortable at the controls of a desktop as it is on the road driving a notebook. For mobile use, the Arc folds on a central hinge that reduces its profile by 40% for easy transportation — folding the mouse also turns it off.
The Arc is wireless (2.4GHz with a 30ft range in optimum conditions) and features a small, low-profile transceiver that can stay put in a USB port, as long as you have one spare, or snaps into the base of the mouse for easy transportation.
The Arc requires two AAA-sized batteries to run and has a battery indicator light on the top to let you know how much juice is left in the batteries so you don’t get caught short.
